Signs of New Orleans

Cooking Louisiana True

Jackson Hill offers a signature style of imagery that pushes boundaries beyond the obvious and conventional. His assignments take him to multiple locations nationally and around the world, while his work has appeared in many major publications. Jackson works easily with a mix of clients from savvy art directors and design firms to large corporations. His extensive experience makes him one of the most sought after photographers in the industry.

Jackson’s studio,Southern Lights, is located on the streetcar line in downtown New Orleans. He taught photography for 12 years at NOCCA (New Orleans Center for Creative Arts) and gives seminars about photography and digital imaging. He is easy to work with, genuine, professional and a bit of a creative risk-taker. Jackson frequently exhibits his work on themes from tattooing to cityscapes.

Jackson and his wife Linda Marshall Hill and their dog TrueLove have lived in MidCity New Orleans since long before Katrina. Jackson’s daughter Caroline works in Brooklyn as a painter and graphic designer (www.chillplease.com)
